Carbon-dioxide (CO₂) fire suppression extinguishes fire by rapidly reducing oxygen and cooling the hazard. CO₂ is clean, electrically non-conductive and leaves no residue, making it well suited to machinery spaces, electrical rooms and other hazards where water or powder would cause damage.
